Reed Daley Gets Gelman in Trouble is a Recess/An American Tail crossover by Sarah West.

Reed Daley notices that someone is stealing his pencil for no reason. He founds out that Gelman stolen one of his pencils without asking. Reed and Randall both tell Miss Finster on Gelman, and Miss Finster drags Gelman to Principal Prickly's Office for a level 8 detention.

Reed: Oh boy, I can write some of my stories for the Daily Nibbler with my pencil. I have been doing it since being a correspondent during the Civil War. Getting my heart pumped, doesn't it?

(Reed finds out that his pencil is stolen)

Reed: Who did that now!

(Reed runs off and sees Gelman drawing a picture of Gus being bullied)

Gelman: Who's that stupid mouse doing here?

Reed: Gelman, give me back my pencil!

Gelman: Nope Mr. Daley. I'll use it forever, until it is broken into pieces.

Reed: Gelman, if you don't give me my pencil now? I will have to get Randall Weems and Miss Finster on you.

Gelman: Back off Reed, just let me draw Gus being bullied.

Reed: Have it your way Gelman. I'm telling Randall and Miss Finster on you.

(Reed and Randall run to Miss Finster)

Randall: Miss Finster! Miss Finster!

Miss Finster: Yes Reed Daley and Randall Weems.

Reed: Gelman has stolen my pencil without asking, and he did do a bad picture out of Gus Griswald.

Miss Finster: Thank you for telling me Reed Daley, and good boy Randall. I'm dealing with Gelman now.

(Miss Finster storms to Gelman)

Gelman: Uh oh!

Miss Finster: Gelman, I had from Randall that you stolen Reed's pencil without permission from Reed Daley. and Worst of all, you drawn Gus Griswald getting bullied. That's it. March to Principal Prickly's office, NOW!

(At Principal Prickly's Office)

Principal Prickly: This is a very serious situation. A very serious situation indeed. We don't ever steal anything. You see stealing Reed Daley's pencil without permission undermines authority. It demonstrates impertinence, disrespect, and laziness. Now I can't keep up with you kids messing around with characters from An American Tail series. But Miss Finster assures me that is pilfering. I have no choice but to give you Detention Level 8.

Gelman: Detention Level 8? I wish Twitch should've killed Reed Daley at the end of An American Tail: The Mystery of The Night Monster (2000).

Principal Prickly: Make that level 9, are you ready to push me any further?
